Our purpose built offices close to Auckland Airport is home to New Zealand’s largest Distribution Centre and our Support Centre where our team of 1000 people strong, all strive towards becoming one of the most customer driven retailers in the world.About the roleAs the Assistant Category Manager Meat, you’ll be working closely with the Category Manager in a future-focused Merchandise Meat team responsible for meat promotions that help drive sales. Meat commands a large percentage of both store sales and gross profit contribution and is one of the key drivers of store performance.You’ll be involved in:· Compiling promotional activity that meet the different banner criteria· Working with suppliers on forward planning that lock in suitable products on time and at the best possible price for our stores· Working with the Fresh Banner Representation Groups, the marketing team, Distribution Centre buyers, meat suppliers and stores to deliver the best outcome for the butchery department in stores · Utilising customer focused tools like Dunnhumby to help analysis data that helps drive growth and customer satisfaction About youTo be successful in this role you’ll:· Be good with numbers and will have an eye for detail· Have a background in buying or store experience with strong negotiation skills· Have strong communication skills both written and verbal· Have a knowledge of FMCG, ideally meat would be advantageous· Be systems savvy· Have excellent planning skills with the ability to multi-taskWhat’s in it for youIn return, we offer a competitive salary package including subsidised health insurance, flexible working so you can get the most out of life, free parking, participation in the company superannuation fund, birthday leave and long service leave!
