Job Description

We are looking for a Learning and Development (Lamp;D) Manager - Kaiwhakahaere Raukaha Akoranga to join our People and Culture team, this role will be in our Auckland Support Office. This new role will support our people advance their skills and knowledge to ensure our guests have a outstanding experience in our hotels, spas and restaurants. Are you passionate about supporting people to learn new skills and grow? Do you love hospitality and working at a fast pace with a diverse workforce? Are you creative self starter with excellent communication skills?

If you have experience designing e-learning solutions, assessing learning needs across various disciplines and managing a budget, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, in this role you will help our company succeed by training and developing our people with in demand skills.

Responsibilities
  • Create and execute learning strategies and programs
  • Evaluate individual and organisational development needs
  • Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g.mentoring, job-shadowing, workshops and online training)
  • Co-design and deliver e-learning courses, facilitate workshops and other training as required
  • Oversee our scholarship and setup new internship programs
  • Assess the success of employee development plans and help managers make the most of learning opportunities for their people
  • Help managers develop their team members through career pathing
  • Track budgets and negotiate Lamp;D contracts
  • Oversee Lamp;D auditing and administration

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 months experience as an Lamp;D Manager within a medium to large organisation or 2-3 years as a advisor
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
  • Experience in project management and budgeting
  • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen
  • Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
  • Professional certification in HR or Lamp;D
  • Ability to travel within NZ to facilitate training needs
