Job Description

Jasmax is an established multi-disciplinary architecture and design practice with a rich heritage spanning more than 50 years. With 200+ employees and strong leadership, we pride ourselves on developing our people to deliver world-class projects.

We are hiring an experienced Talent Acquisition / Recruitment Lead to join our small People and Culture team based in Auckland. This role is the sole specialist to manage all things recruitment, resourcing and talent acquisition, working closely with the Pamp;C Lead and Pamp;C Coordinator. You will have 8 years+ experience leading and managing recruitment, hiring senior and strategic roles, with strong relationship and negotiation skills. You are responsible to be hands on, source high quality candidates, maintain and develop a talent pool, and provide excellent candidate management.

This role also oversees resourcing for Jasmax, which uses your recruitment skills of placing available staff into project roles aligning to their skillset, areas of interest, scope and availability to see it through. This requires you to have a deep knowledge of our people's goals, skills, areas of development and preference of work, as well as a commercial understanding of how professional services operate and how utilisation and performance impacts upon this.

This varied and busy role offers input into HR projects throughout the year, from promotions and remuneration review processes, to onboarding and employee experience projects. Ultimately, you will ensure we attract and hire the most qualified candidates, to achieve our strategic goals and add to our company culture.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Talent Acquisition for Jasmax, including the annual Graduate and Internship Programme, Maori and Pasifica Scholarship, Recruitment, Talent Development and Candidate Management.
  • End to end recruitment, taking a role from design to advertising, screening to offer.
  • Identify, design, benchmark and seek approval for newly created roles, working closely with the Leadership Team.
  • Build talent pipelines and pools for future positions and develop strategic candidate relationships.
  • Forecast hiring needs and identify skills required in the studio, developing the Jasmax brand and standing in the industry.
  • Manage university and agency relationships, participating in industry events and presenting at uni's to promote Jasmax as an employer of choice.
  • Facilitate, identify and resolve resourcing opportunities to ensure our people have enough work, (but not too much), which is ideally aligned to their interest or goals.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in Talent Acquisition or managing the Recruitment function internally, or 8 years+ in a recruitment agency environment hiring business support and ideally architecture or design roles.
  • ATS experience (we use Workable), and end to end recruitment experience with hands on sourcing and interviewing skills.
  • Organization, prioritisation time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships.

If this sounds like you, and you are looking for a senior role in which you can own the recruitment function and influence your new-hires' careers through resourcing, then this is a fantastic role for you and we look forward to seeing your applications. Please note that we can only consider applications who hold the right to work in NZ permanently, and are already here or expect to be in the country by May.

Benefits

We understand people have commitments outside of work, and we encourage work-life balance, together with providing social opportunities within the studio. Some of our key benefits include:

  • Competitive remuneration and diverse development opportunities, including shareholding and bonus structures.
  • Enjoy a high performing, supportive and inclusive culture.
  • A flexible and high-trust work environment, allowing for flexible start and finish times and remote working opportunities.
  • Discounted health insurance and sporting initiatives tailored to Jasmax.
  • Weekly social drinks in the studio, EAP access and travel opportunities to our regional studios.
