We are looking for an Assistant Housekeeper to lead our team of room attendants and ensure we provide excellent customer service.
In order to succeed as a Assistant Housekeeper, you should be observant and have the ability to think critically and efficiently. You should be a skilled communicator with excellent problem solving, observation, and interpersonal skills.
This Full Time permanent role, minimum 30 hours per week and the hourly rate is $29.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Hiring and training staff to provide excellent service to customers.
- With the Housekeeping team, you'll develop, review and maintain service quality within Sudima brand standards
- You'll work on rosters, SOP’s, ordering of stock, payroll, the strategies and implementation of those for the housekeeping.
- Overseeing housekeeping activities
- Drive our vision, mission, objectives and values with a culture of taking initiative
- Leading and motivating staff
- Monitoring colleague performance as well as conducting room inspections
- We are looking for someone who is flexible with their availability to be successful, you will need to be able to work a typical hospitality roster and that means covering all shifts across a 7-day rotating roster
Requirements

- NZQF Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
- Housekeeping or management experience is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work during peak hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.
- Have sound understanding of all housekeeping areas including, public areas, rooms and laundry etc.
- Experience ordering stock, creating rosters and processing payroll.
- Proven ability in leading a team.
- Assist with training and developing the team to achieve hotel standards.
- A high level of organisation, time management and problem-solving skills.
