The purpose of this role is to:

Procure, process and produce low cost, nutritious accessible food for families.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive and manage all aspects of food production.
  • Procure and repurpose rescued food.
  • Focus on working within financial limits.
  • Manage the central Production Kitchens Food Safety Plan, always maintaining compliance.
  • Ensure that all work is completed consistently with the charism and mission of the Society.
  • Support the delivery of the Employment Ready pathways programme.

Requirements

To be the ideal candidate for this role, you will:

  • bring experience as a chef, 5 + years or equivalent
  • Be committed to and understand the Mission and Values of the Society of St Vincent de Paul
  • Be I.T administration savvy and/ or willing to learn more, and must be able to quickly reach competence in:
    • Microsoft 365 suite
    • Xero
    • A CRM
  • Drivers License - Full Class 1
  • Be experienced in, and have an understanding of, the needs of a multicultural workspace.
  • Bring experience working in a not for profit environment.

  • Be organised and able to drive for timeframes.
  • Be results oriented with demonstrable focus on the achievement of key priorities.

  • Food Industry/Procurement
  • Food Rescue
  • Health and Safety
  • Project Management
  • Office Administration
