Job Description

Dawn Aerospace's Space Propulsion Electronics team is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to join their dynamic and motivated team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to design and develop world-leading satellite propulsion technology and bring your ideas from concept to orbit.

In this role you will take the lead of projects from the design and qualification of space hardware to the development of serial production infrastructure. With a focus on reliability, you will also be responsible for supporting the development of our space environment testing and qualification processes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
  • 3+ years of relevant hands-on experience developing electronics for high reliability applications, ideally in Aerospace.
  • An exceptional understanding of circuit theory and electronics fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of component selection and reliable implementation of semi-conductor devices including Si/GaN MOSFETs and diodes.
  • Good experience with PCB design and proficiency in EDA software such as Altium, Cadence, or KiCad.
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation tools.
  • Experience with FMEA reliability assessments and testing to regulatory standards.
  • Evidence of ability to troubleshoot, and debug electronic hardware.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (English).

Desired Qualifications/Experience:

  • Hold a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Show familiarity with radiation tolerant design and radiation testing.
  • Have experience designing and testing electronics to ECSS or NASA specifications.
  • Be familiar with DO-254 and DO-160 standards.
  • Have proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, C++ and Git.
  • Experience developing hardware in the loop systems.
  • Have experience with Highly Accelerated Lifetime Testing
