Mons Royale is an action and adventure sports brand. We are makers of nature's performance apparel utilising merino wool and other natural fibers for their superior sustainability and performance benefits. It is our mission to shift the rider from synthetics to natural fibers. Since launching in 2009 we have amassed a fanbase including many of the world's best skiers, snowboarders, and mountain bikers.
About the Role
Starting mid-March 2023, this is a 12-month maternity cover role. It is a varied role for someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get the work done in a busy finance team. Based in Wanaka, the Junior/Intermediate Accountant helps to support our global business working with our teams across New Zealand, Austria, and Canada. This role is an opportunity to slot into a great team where you will be encouraged to use your initiative to continually improve the way we operate.
The role is full time and based out of our Wanaka office, with some flexibility for a part-time role (24 hours per week minimum) for the right candidate.
Requirements
Day-to-day responsibilities will be determined by the experience level of the successful candidate.
You may provide support in the following areas:
- Inventory Management
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Preparation of Payment Runs
- Bank Reconciliations
- Payroll Preparation
- Month-end Reconciliations and Workpapers
You should have:
- A sound understanding of accounting principles
- Experience using accounting software packages
- Intermediate Microsoft skills (Excel)
- Motivation to meet deadlines
- Positive, professional attitude
