Requirements

Our team is growing and we are looking for:

A Payroll/HR admin to help manage our fortnightly payroll as well as support end to end HR admin for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). A key task you will be responsible for is managing our payroll submission each fortnight. This includes reviewing and submitting timesheets for ANZ.

The role is perfect for someone who has an eye for detail, understands systems and is curious about finding efficiencies and solving problems. You will also bring some knowledge of the relevant NZ legislations and are curious about the Australian employment awards.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage the fortnightly submission of timesheets and payroll reports to our 3rd party payroll provider.
  • You understand the ins and out of the HR/Rostering programs and can review data accurately including in excel.
  • Where data is missing or doesn't look correct investigate to ensure completeness and accuracy at all times
  • Interpret the timesheets in Tanda
  • Work closely with managers and the wider ANZ HR team to ensure all paperwork is received on time and is complete
  • Understand and can confidently use our Payroll/HRMS system
  • Accurately input employee information into our HRMS system. This includes, personal information, Tax and Kiwisaver information
  • Can pre plan and communicate to our business on payroll deadlines throughout the year
  • Manage/monitor along with our HR Coordinator the shared HR Gmail inbox and answer queries that come through.
  • Support the administrative tasks related to the employment lifecycle EG issuing agreements updating changes in our HRMS.
  • Provide additional support to ANZ HR Team as required - this has scope to expand and there is potential for this role to solely provide support to NZ as our business grows.

Experience

  • Bring at least 1+ years of experience working within a payroll or HR team
  • You uphold a high level of integrity and respect privacy when dealing with personal and confidential information.
  • Strong team player who is capable of working independently. You will be our first HR team member in NZ!
  • Bring a customer service mindset
  • Quick learner who can be adaptable to change in fast-paced environments, You’ll need to be comfortable working in an environment where not everything is set up and structured yet.
  • Able to investigate problems, work out what the error is and resolve
  • Comfortable using GoogleSuits and Slack
  • Bring some knowledge of NZ legislations (Employment Relations Act 2000, Wages Protection Act 1983 and Holidays Act 2003).
  • You must have full working rights in New Zealand to be considered for this position.
