Join us at this exciting time and be a part of our transformational strategy to further grow New Zealand’s brand and reputation on a global scale.What you’ll be doing | TewhakamahereTelling the New Zealand Story through major events provides an ideal way to reinforce the values and brand of New Zealand when the world is looking at us. The purpose of this role is to support the smooth running and implementation of key events for NZ Story, delivering world-class stories both domestically and internationally. You will lead complex projects and build and manage relationships internally and externally to enhance trust and confidence in our capabilities. This will include scoping and managing multiple projects within agreed time, event logistics, budget monitoring, travel arrangements and may involve providing on-site event support. You will assist in developing the story content for international trade missions to ensure the execution of these takes every opportunity to showcase New Zealand on the global stage and at all times will work with partners to ensure our national culture, and tikanga Maori is used appropriately and effectively.For more information on the role please view the Position Description.
What you’ll need to be successful | OPukenga
You will have a background in events and be familiar with the regulatory and reporting elements of event management, along with all other elements of successful event management including:
- Experience with financial systems.- Experience with health and safety reporting and have the ability to report to our external partners such as MBIE and Tataki Auckland Unlimited.- Have experience with procurement and negotiating contractual agreements.- Have the confidence and stakeholder management skills to oversee Trade Missions and practical events and be able to liaise with people to get results.- Be able to work autonomously but also collaboratively with the wider NZ Story team.
