PredictHQ is the leading source of demand intelligence, enabling global companies to accurately predict and prepare for demand anomalies. Our vision is to predict the catalyst behind any form of demand.
We help get results like: shorter wait time for taxis; reduced food waste; less stock-outs; better staff rostering for peak times. We do this by giving companies advance warning of demand impacts.
We cover every major category from conferences and concerts to live, unscheduled events such as extreme weather or airport delays. Our expertise is in verifying, enriching and adding intelligence to the millions of significant events that impact demand, so companies can act before it's too late.
Our teams are creating advanced machine learning algorithms, using data from thousands of sources around the world, processing it through our modern, micro services based pipeline - and exposing it to customers via a powerful API. We’re looking for a passionate, self motivated, keen and committed Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join us. If you:

You may not have experience with all of the technologies mentioned below, but as long as you have a passion for learning, then our team will help and support you.
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at PredictHQ, you will:
- Be comfortable working in an agile, fast-moving environment
- Automate toil by deploying and writing automation software
- Collaborate with our talented engineers, data scientists, and product managers to solve problems
- Provide a high level of attention to system monitoring, patching, and maintaining an optimized cloud platform
- Active involvement in the design, build, and deployment of infrastructure solutions
Your must-have qualities or skills:
- At least 4 years of experience in a similar role or responsibilities
- Willingness to embrace and contribute to open-source software
- Ability to quickly adapt to a new environment, and actively suggest ideas or improvements based on past experience
- Experience or familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS, and Docker
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and/or ELK stack
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience using Terraform to automatework infrastructure setup
- Experience with Elasticsearch and Kafka
- Experience or familiarity with message-based microservices
- Experience in optimizing the performance or scalability of an application
- Experience troubleshooting production problems or profiling workloads
- Experience managing and upgrading kops based Kubernetes clusters
- Experience writing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
