What you'll be doing - Te whakamahereWe are seeking a Ministerial and Project Support Intern to support our Strategy, Performance, and Partner (SPP) team until the 30th June 2023. This is an amazing and unique opportunity for someone who is interested in insights into working and dealing with Ministers and understanding how NZTE works with the Government to help ensure the success of NZ businesses internationally.
In this role, we will mentor you to develop your skillsets for future roles within the public service. It's also a great steppingstone into a corporate environment. You'll get insights into how the New Zealand government supports economic growth, and exposure to the international business world, with the opportunity to still flex your creative muscles and bring new ideas to the table.
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:- Assisting with Ministerial briefings, correspondence and reports- Helping with providing advice on the Official Information Act- Supporting with the preparation of reports and strategy papers to a wide range of key internal and external stakeholders- Supporting the delivery of programmes and projects across the wider SPP teams.
What you'll need to be successful - O PukengaHave you completed your studies and are looking to gain some real-world experience? You'll be part of a small dynamic team delivering operational support for our SPP team here at NZTE. You'll need to have great communication and multi-tasking skills, have knowledge of international relations, be highly organised and possess a can-do attitude.
This role would suit someone who has completed their tertiary qualification and possesses the following skills:- Strong communication / writing skills and an ability to present information in a clear, compelling manner- An innate curiosity and ability to challenge the commonly believed- High-level attention to detail, presentation layout and accuracy- Knowledge in the field of international business and political science is advantageous- Skills in the Microsoft Office suite would be advantageous- Adaptability and a strong drive for results
