About the Role

The Manager - Core Applications and Digital Platforms role is required to assumed responsibility for managing the quality and cost-effective service delivery to the Datacom customers. This role will involve managing the technical/service delivery relationship with the customer. A core function of the Team Leader Service Delivery is to oversee the day-to-day activities, manage the personnel and coordinate resourcing within their department. Having wide-ranging experience, this role involves using professional concepts and company objectives to identify best practices and enhance capability.

  • Broad and deep understanding of technical infrastructure projects and related technology dependencies.
  • Strong financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Excellent project management skills and a proven record of successful staff management.
  • Ability to manage complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members, normally involving matters between functional areas, other Datacom divisions, customers and the company.
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels.
  • Ability to build and lead collaborative teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and align them with client business goals and objectives.
  • Excellent customer relationship building and management skills.
  • Ability to escalate with a solution focus.

Responsibilities

  • Leading Datacom's internal applications functional support team.
  • Leading the internal Digital platform ambit and Datacoms internal Software Asset Management.
  • Managing team resources efficiently in line with business needs and client demand.
  • Supporting transition of projects from the delivery readiness team to the permanent delivery team, engaging appropriate resources to staff subsequent engagement phases, securing engineering support, and facilitating cross geographic resource alignment.
  • Participating with account managers and engagement teams in defining/designing, costing and scheduling.
  • Conducting and participating in readiness reviews.
  • Staffing delivery resources and ensuring that qualified internal and contractor resources are in place to meet program or project goals according to plan.
  • Developing and communicating delivery status and performance reports.
