About the Role

The Configuration Analyst is responsible for the creation amp; management of system configuration and associated processes.

The configuration of our Datascape ERP solution underpins all customer solutions and outcomes including process orchestration and reporting, UI display and behaviour, integration, core system controls, and other non-coded areas of system set up.

The Configuration Analyst role requires a strong focus on establishing processes and controls to manage the categorisation, storage, deployment and on-going maintenance of configuration ‘sets’ to:

  • Support and streamline system implementations and integrations incorporating regional and jurisdictional differences
  • Facilitate customer support and benchmarking; and
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for customers and consultants.

The role requires a strong understanding of the overall customer outcomes as well as detailed knowledge of the product capabilities and a passion to support and enable the Local Government team to deliver the best possible solution to the customer in the most time and cost-efficient way.

  • Knowledge of Council business, in particular Regulatory functions, would be desirable.


  • Become familiar with council business domains and develop an understanding of how configuration solutions support the business processes within them.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Domain teams to understand the features and solutions being developed and build the configuration associated with them, ensuring configuration design standards and policies are being followed.
  • Agree and establish processes for the review, acceptance and addition/update of configuration into templates.
  • Enable Consultants, Product Managers, Project Managers and customers to view/access information regarding templated configuration.
  • Work with Consultants, Project Managers and Support to develop and implement processes to plan and schedule the release of updated/new configuration to environments (internal and customer).
  • Assist with creation and standardisation of documentation describing the intent/purpose and general description of configuration created for the delivered standard templated solution.
  • Produce clear process documentation describing how configuration management is done and how to consume configuration templates.
  • Agree and establish processes for the request and supply of templated configuration to consumers.
  • Manage the creation, use and maintenance of configuration environments.
