About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the Smartly product development team here at Datacom as our Quality Assurance Manager.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring high quality systems development in the Smartly Eco System by managing a team of Quality Assurance Leads and Testers as well as the Test Automation team in developing, implementing, and executing Quality Assurance processes and procedures.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing and leading all QA and testers to foster their career, allow them to perform at the highest level and ensure that they are highly engaged.
  • Developing, implementing, and supporting a management system to govern all relevant quality and service assurance programs across the Smartly Product Ecosystem.
  • Coordinating and carrying out routine Quality Assurance reviews of changes to computing facilities, including applications and system software environments, networking, etc across the Smartly Product Ecosystem.
  • Providing input into the feature design stage, estimation, and sprint planning.
  • Being accountable for ensuring product and features are of highest quality.
  • Managing and leading all QA and testers to foster their career, allow them to perform at the highest level and ensure that they are highly engaged.
  • Maintaining currency of relevant certifications within the QA team to meet both current needs and future requirements of the business.
  • Coordinating consolidated process improvement activities including the establishment of new processes.
  • Understanding stakeholder requirements, collection of data, analysis of requirements and problem resolution.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and recommending options, implementing if required.
  • Collaborating with and facilitating stakeholder groups.
  • Seeking to fully address stakeholder needs, enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of Datacom personnel, by ensuring that proposed solutions are properly understood and appropriately exploited.
  • Overall ownership of consolidated process until handover to business as usual is achieved

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years experience working in QA Testing.
  • Experience leading a team, looking after all elements of managing people, providing strong leadership, and mentoring, along with hiring new team members (preferably 3+ years)
  • Experience developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholder, using strong engagement with clients to understand and address their unique business needs.
  • Experience working with product testing frameworks, following scrum and agile processes.
  • Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance best practices
  • Strong consultative and planning skills.
  • Experience working across a range of architectures (e.g. API testing, UI testing, application security, contract testing, performance testing)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in presenting ideas and strategies
