About the role:

Our Security Services Engineering team is growing, and we're looking for a passionate individual to lead our talented squad of Cybersecurity Engineers, along with ensuring our service delivery platforms and processes are defined, implemented, and effectively managed throughout their lifecycle. Ultimately your role will be to ensure we have secure platforms and defined processes to drive scale and continuous improvement of our product delivery.

Critical responsibilities include:

  • Platform Management Design, implement and proactively maintain all centralised platforms required to delivery service outcomes in accordance with a clear roadmap and plan.
  • Knowledge Management Ensure that all technical procedures are consistently documented and maintained.
  • Subject Matter Expertise Provide the subject matter expertise across DEFEND in core service functions/technologies.
  • Lifecycle Management Ensure ongoing and proactive lifecycle management of all platforms systems and services.
  • Major Incident Management Support the resolution of major incidents
  • Vendor Support Act as the support intermediary for vendor support issues.
  • Ensure that the cybersecurity engineering team has the tools to be successful and the guidance on how to use them.
  • Ensure that the cybersecurity engineering team clearly understands what is required of them and they have a clear pathway to developing and growing their careers.
  • Support the cybersecurity engineering team in building a centre of excellence around their technologies and the processes required to operate them efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Leadership experience gained within infrastructure engineering and architecture - you'll be able to take high level requirements and make it happen!
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles amp; technologies and how they can be leveraged to build and deliver secure services.
  • Proven engineering experience in cloud operations including AWS, Azure amp; Microsoft 365
  • Have an outcome focused mindset which can translate business requirements into deliverable actions that meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Passionate about providing unparalleled levels of service and excellence for customers
  • Solid communication skills, along with the confident ability to write and review designs, reports, procedures, and standards
  • Promotes and engage in information sharing, technical assistance, advice, and support of other team members
  • Strong documentation skills
