About the Role:
Our Service Development team is growing and we're looking for a Senior/Intermediate who is passionate about cloud-native software development. This role will enable you to work on ground-breaking projects that will ultimately lead to building a cyber-resilient New Zealand! Your primary focus will be to build, test, deploy and maintain full stack cloud-native software and systems using a SecDevOps approach.
Working in a SCRUM methodology, on 2-weekly sprints cycles, your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Implement project technical elements
- Implement, document, and maintain project components, aligning to DevOps best practices
- Develop applications (coding, programming)
- Debug and testing code (Including writing automated tests)
- Design and build front-end user interfaces
- Create and test infrastructure-as-code
- Ensure applications are built to be observable, traceable, and resilient to failure
- Create, capture, and utilise data from our applications and environments to provide data driven insights and functionality within applications
- Document and test new software applications
- Research, investigate and fix a wide range of technical issues

Skills We Can’t Do Without
- Experience with .Net specifically C#
- Experience working with public cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Powershell
- Experience developing against Cloud REST APIs
- CI/CD amp; Azure DevOps experience
- Able to work with ambiguity, and learn quickly in an innovative, fun, and dynamic environment
- Care about doing a great job and exceeding expectations with the quality of what you do
Skills we’d like
- Web development experience including exposure to MVC amp; React
- Proven experience with cloud operations automation, deployment, monitoring and alerting capability
- Working knowledge of IaC technologies including Terraform
- Containerisation technologies such as docker and kubernetes
