About the roleWorking across our Retail Banners PAK’nSAVE, New World amp; Four Square you’ll provide expert knowledge across our Beer, Cider and Tobacco categories, working intimately with a range of stakeholders, influencing and engaging and driving sales and performance across the Category. With a true strategic approach, you’ll take on a senior role in the team. Key responsibilities include: · Determining and achieving strategic goals through effective category planning and forecasting· Managing supplier relationships· Negotiating pricing and promotional activities · Overseeing range management and product maintenance. About youWith a commercial mind-set you’ll have a solid retail account management background with an in-depth understanding of FMCG and/or retail. Not afraid to get into the detail you’ll work collaboratively and effectively to plan, organise and operate the category ensuring we’re hitting financial targets, unlocking growth and using customer insights. Key to your success in the role will also include: · Solid B2B experience · A solid understanding of market trends and influences, both within New Zealand and globally with a drive to continuously stay ahead of the game. · Prior experience in the Liquor Category is preferred although not essential· Very strong problem solving and decision-making skills.· Excellent planning and communication skills with the ability to collaborate and clearly articulate ideas/concepts and effectively present to othersA senior role in the wider team this is an opportunity to shine and take on a large and complex category for the Foodies Banner stores.
