Job Description
About the workshop
The workshop is clean and well equipped. We have good quality modern machines that are well maintained. The jobs we work on are often complex and require innovative solutions. The work is satisfying and will suit people that take pride in what they do.
A typical day may include:
- One-off work (manufacturing components for the Ramp;D team):
- Work with and coach design engineers to ensure Ramp;D components are designed for ease of manufacture.
- Program, prove and make one-off Ramp;D components and/or help engineers with items they are making.
- Production work (manufacturing components for products we sell):
- Work with design engineers to review designs from a design for manufacture perspective.
- For new products: Develop internal and external manufacturing processes, and associated instructions and production record systems.
- Execute existing processes to produce existing parts
- Complete and maintain production records
- Staff training and upskilling:
- Provide in-house training of new staff on using equipment in the workshop
- Guide/support other workshop users with their tasks.
Requirements
We are expanding rapidly and are in search of good people that can help us manufacture quality components. People that will create and implement effective new processes as our capabilities grow.
