We're looking for a Chief Solutions Officer to spearhead our Professional Services (Bespoke) business unit. These teams are tasked with ensuring all projects are delivered using a best-practice approach and are delivered successfully with the agreed scope, time cost and quality.
The Chief Solutions Officer, forming part of our Senior Leadership team, oversees the portfolio of Bespoke projects, providing expert leadership, knowledge and support, and monitoring progress and reporting on the portfolio status.
You will also ensure the project teams have the best tool sets and processes in place to deliver their best work for our clients. You will enable a learning and development culture through collaboration to ensure all staff are trained and equipped to build world-leading web solutions that stretch the boundaries of our products.
Requirements
In more detail, you will:
- Contribute to Silverstripe's strategies, including company culture and values by being an engaged member of the Senior Leadership Team
- Oversee the operation and performance of the Bespoke business unit; resourcing and pipeline management; coordination of programmes of work; supporting proposals and SoW content; and covering project deliverables timeframes and costs
- Act as the escalation point for projects and programmes to resolve potential conflicts or issues as they arise
- Collaboratively work with direct reports to set meaningful performance objectives, to identify behaviours, knowledge and skills required to achieve goals
- Manage day to day activities of our Delivery Directors and liaise closely with the delivery teams to ensure accurate and robust budget monitoring against project plans
- Be an advocate for the organisation’s delivery and Agile practices.
We’re looking for people who are:
- Confident communicators: communicate confidentially with clients, developers, designers, sales and business owners
- Adept problem solvers: ability to take a problem and find interesting solutions; combined with solid negotiation skills
- Skilled leaders: effective at successfully directing, coordinating and strategically delivering multiple projects
- Passionate relationship builders: solid stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical: passion for, and the ability to, conduct research and identify trends from data.
What will I need to be successful?
- 6+ years experience in project management, dealing with complex projects
- Experience working in agency or vendor environments
- Practical experience leading projects with Agile methodologies
- Strong focus at all times on clients’ business needs, user goals, and overall quality.
