Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 depending on the number of years teaching in accredited schools


Job description

As a member of a motivated teaching team, the ideal secondary school Math amp; Science teacher will perform multiple duties related to supporting and promoting the academic, social, and emotional development of all secondary school students. The teacher is responsible for designing and implementing creative planning documentation, maintaining a positive learning environment, actively participating in their learning neighbourhood, and sharing in the duties of daily school operations.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Design and implement creative, thematic and proficiency-based units of learning curriculum that adheres to the principles of Green School, so the lessons are accessible to all students.
  • Provide an individualised, differentiated, and personalised support as needed, mentoring and guiding all students to achieve an effective learning experience.
  • Work within the Learning Neighbourhoods and with the Learning Needs team to support the academic, social and emotional needs of all students.
  • Provide professional development opportunities and resources to help teachers strengthen their abilities to meet the learning needs of students via personalisation and differentiation.
  • To work with parents and staff to develop Individualised Learning Plans (ILPs) for customising the learning outcomes for students identified as requiring specialised support

  • This is a full-time position that requires an action-oriented person with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong experience with curriculum development
  • Excellent in spoken and written English
  • Holds at least a bachelor’s degree in Education
  • Min. 5 years of experience in teaching
  • Basic to advanced understanding of sustainability issues amp; values
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
  • Inspiring environments, colleagues and campus
