Campus Operations Manager - Fixed-term 3-year

To help maintain and enhance this standard of education, we’re seeking an experienced Campus Operations Manager to assist in a number of projects and implement processes in a growing organisation. As an ideal candidate, you’ll have a sharp business mind, proven success in multiple organisational functions, and be a self-starter able to work on their own. Your ultimate responsibility is to increase our operational efficiency at GSNZ.

Flexible working schedule : 3-5 days a week depending on the applicant

Requirements

  • Objectives of this Role:
    • Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance the organization’s internal capacity.
    • Maintain constant communication with Founders, Head of School, and staff to ensure proper operations of the organization.
    • Actively pursue strategic and operational objectives.
    • Ensure operational activities remain on time and within defined budgets.

    Responsibilities:
    • Review and align policies, including consistency with, and integration to, the existing generic School Docs suite.
    • Assist the Head of School with accreditation process requirements.
    • Coordinate and prepare monthly management reports, identifying, and implementing improvements and cost efficiencies.
    • Ensure the campus facilities are fully maintained
    • Support a small team of employees within the facilities, health and safety, and administrative functions
    • Assist with the project management of our Phase 3 building project.
    • Collate and prioritize operational maintenance and other requests from faculty and support staff
    • Coordinate timing and resources to safely execute required work per the prioritized scope list
    • Ensure the scope is clear for support staff to execute the work safely (as per HSE manager steer).
    • Transparent communication with faculty and leadership team of short and medium-term schedules
    • Supervise and check ongoing campus works by support staff and/or contractor
    • Actively identify opportunities and justify implementation to improve operational and cost efficiency of our campus, whilst adhering to our HSE principles
    • Actively identify facilities maintenance needs and communicate with the Green School Properties representative for work to be executed.
    • Ad-hoc assistance to the Head of School where required.
    • As a small school with changing numbers, the exact nature of these duties may be modified and updated by the School from time to time.
    Specific projects:
    • Co-ordinate with external IT provider to migrate staff to Microsoft Office suite, manage ongoing IT requirements and ensure the efficient running of IT systems.
    • Oversight of B Corp certification

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ proven experience in an operation/project management position
  • Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organisational control
  • Knowledge of general business software and ability to learn new applications, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), strong IT skills
  • Working knowledge of Xero is great but not a requirement
  • Experience within the education sector is a bonus
