Green School New Zealand seeks an outstanding mission-aligned professional to assume a fixed-term position in the role of
Admission, Marketing amp; Communications. Their project will be to assist the Admissions Team with the planning and implementing of a new system of Community engagement. Helping the current Green School families and also the prospective families from those around the world. As such, it is imperative that the candidate is a warm, mission-aligned, a knowledgeable, and empathetic colleague who creates and advocates from every encounter.
You will be responsible for working with the Admissions Team to encourage, nurture, and process worldwide applications from first contact to enrolment. The role will also involve conducting and coordinating campus tours, open days, and other School recruitment events. Excellent communication skills - verbal and written - together with the ability to quickly learn and master the workings of our School Admissions Management System (Open Apply), social media platforms, and websites are essential. All work must be completed with a high degree of accuracy within agreed turnaround times and to agreed performance targets.

- Acquire and communicate a deep knowledge of the School’s people, ethos and curriculum
- Establish and maintain positive, trusting, and open relationships with all prospective families from New Zealand and around the world
- Answer enquiries about the School, its ethos and its curriculum with warmth, confidence, and accuracy
- Help to nurture and guide families through the application process, ensuring all relevant documentation is accurate, complete and uploaded into the School Admissions Management System (Open Apply)
- Ensures compliance with the requirements for GSNZ and all relevant government authorities for student enrolment
- Organise, schedule and - where appropriate - conduct personal and group campus tours
- Organise formal large-scale Campus Tour days and other prospective parent activities and events.
Marketing amp; Communications
- Plan, design, and implement a new Community Engagement system.
- Work with the Marketing Teams locally and Internationally.
- Create content for school community newsletters, website, social media pages, parents' portal
- Work closely and communicate effectively with GS Community (learners, parents, staff, management, board)
- Maintain and provide Admissions and Marketing data rapidly and accurately for Green School New Zealand and Green School International
- Represent GSNZ at events (eg. student recruitment conferences,agent engagement, and fundraisers)
Person Specification
- Demonstrably mission-aligned to Green School and its values
- A warm personality and a sense of humour
- Good level of education, preferably to degree level
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Ability and willingness to rapidly acquire and communicate a deep knowledge of Green School’s ethos and offering
- Ability and willingness to rapidly master the School Admissions Management System, Open Apply
- Previous experience with social media platforms and website design and development
- Experience of working to demanding deadlines and under pressure
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve processes
- Ability to operate effectively as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills including politeness, diplomacy, tact and courtesy
- Excellent communication skills, especially over phone and video calls
- Ability to establish and manage good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including prospective parents, Green School International, teaching and support staff, and the Marketing team
You must currently live and be able to legally work in New Zealand.
Please note that under the Education Act of 1989 and the Children's Act 2014, a police vet will be required for this role.
