If so, this role is going to get you excited!Due to an internal promotion, we are currently recruiting for a new Deployment Engineer to join the future-focused Foodies IT team. This role involves a variety of work and touches everything Tech in store. Reporting to the Lead Deployment Engineer, this role is responsible for ensuring the insource and outsource deployment solutions are well designed, managed and maintained to a high level. Other key responsibilities include:- Help to define and deliver required software to Point of Sale devices without interruption to trade.- Ensure post checks are done to avoid any known issues occurring during deployment.- Ensure capacity issues are proactively identified and mitigation options highlighted and implemented.- Be a primary contact point for operations, supporting other teams in triaging issues to identify if solutions are available via deployment to resolve software bugs or hardware faults- Support management on reporting on firmware, software, or patch versions- Monitor and manage incident queues after each deployment - Show versatility across functional areas, such as testing, scripting, consulting, and developmentWhat skills and experience you need- Have a proven track record in IT End User Support roles.- Experience and knowledge of deployment solutions would be ideal, but is not essential. - An analytical mindset, with the ability to work through processes in a systematic approach. - Able to collect business and technical requirements and design and implement solutions to meet those requirements- Excellent planning and communication skills both written and verbal, with a great ability to collaborate with others, clearly articulate ideas/concepts and effectively present to others- You will be curious, and keen to learn more, and constantly looking at what’s possibleWith a team of well-respected forward-thinking leaders, this is a great opportunity to apply your skills in one of New Zealand’s largest retail businesses.
