Join our award-winning team leading our wonderful central reservations team. As one of the first contact points with our manuhiri our guests, the role of Central Reservations Manager - Sudima Hotels is to ensure the efficient operation of the Central Reservations team in our Queen Street Support Office. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer, with a team of reservation specialists in Auckland and Philipines. Sudima Hotels ensure our guests make the most of their day. Key Tasks include:

  • Liaising with key stakeholders to align strategies and activities to achieve targets
  • Maintain amp; monitor contracted rates, hotel allotments, wholesale amp; group allocations
  • Lead digital innovation within the department
  • Manage the performance and development of the reservations team (Auckland and remote)
  • Upskill and motivate the team with regular feedback, training and development
  • Attend regular training/education for professional and personal development

Requirements

About you | Ko koe tenei

Essential

  • At least three years experience leading a team in 4 star+ hotel environment, ideally in hotel reservations, in a fast-paced call center or front office environment.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple hotel sites and locations with good knowledge of workforce planning; recruiting, supervising, and training team members including a remote team.
  • Experience working with a large-scale Hotel operating system (HMS / Opera preferable).
  • An associated diploma/certificate is advantageous

Ideally you will also

  • Be currently residing in New Zealand,a citizen, resident or hold a valid NZ work visa (with at least 9 months validity).
  • Understanding of wholesale and leisure markets domestic and international
  • Ability to commence within 4-6 weeks
