Job Description

As we’ve continued to progress on our Fuel50 mission of transforming the people experience at work, we’ve worked to integrate and imbue our product into critical HR tech stacks for some of the most prominent and exciting businesses in the world. Joining a small, highly motivated and focused team, you’ll steer the ship across our growing API amp; Integrations product lines and get stuck into a huge range of exciting and interesting challenges. Through your products, you’ll also help drive real, visible commercial benefits for Fuel50 and our customers.

As the Product Manager on this team, you will be working directly with our VP of Product, and our incumbent Data and Insights Senior Product Manager, to lead strategy and execution for all API and Integration products at Fuel50, partnering with our customers, engineers, and analysts to maximize the potential of our platform.

Our clients love our Fuel50 platform, but we know we could do so much more to seamlessly integrate our platform into their workflows and help them get the most out of Fuel50 however, and wherever they want to work. This could include continuing to develop our own API or building out an integration marketplace with integrations to not only HR Tech, but also business productivity tools such as Slack, Teams, etc as well as operationally enabling integrations to CRMs, Sales Enablement Platforms, Data Marketplaces or something else entirely; that’s your job to figure out. We are open to exploring a wide opportunity space to find the best solutions for our existing and potential clients.

The ideal candidate for this role will thrive in a small team where you can make a big impact. You are confident in your toolkit and experience, and you also love to pick up new skills and knowledge. In addition, you have an innate drive to be successful. As a foundational member of a scaling start-up, you want to take the initiative and solve big problems, and with a growing product team there will always be new opportunities in the future to shape how the function evolves over time.

Relationships

As well as job responsibilities, you will have an integral part in growing our culture with us, and contributing to making Fuel50 a great place to work. We know that having the right people with the right attitude and behaviours is a big part of what makes us successful. Living our values is an important part of being successful in this role.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in a Product Manager role in a high growth product organisation, working with API and Integration products.
  • You will have demonstrable full lifecycle experience bringing a product or a major feature (preferably a new API or Integration) to market
  • Ideally you have a strong technical background, as it’s essential you’re able to think deeply about our API opportunity landscape, market trends and best practice, make informed, extensibility-first decisions and be able to create simple, easy to digest partner/developer experiences.
  • You will have experience leading highly cross-functional teams working closely with engineering, design and data science teams
  • You can clearly communicate product decisions and the rationale behind them. You are able to translate complex data concepts simply to both technical and non-technical audiences. You’re comfortable making decisions without consensus. You can help others make decisions by being persuasive.
  • You have experience working with both qualitative customer insights, and quantitative customer data to inform decisions. You’ve conducted user research, a/b tests and have worked closely with product designers and analysts
  • You’re entrepreneurial; you don’t need direction; you're self-driven

It would be great if you have:

  • Experience with using, customising and configuring API reference documentation tools like Swagger Docs, Readme, etc
  • Experience with building API products on IPAAS tools such as Workato, Dell Boomi, etc
  • Hands-on experience with writing high quality API documentation
