Software Development Intern

Contribute to internal and customer facing development project work as part of the Microsoft Student Accelerator program, within the context of our agile development team SCRUM process.

Microsoft Student Accelerator Project Work

• Implement project technical elements
• Implement, document and maintain project components, aligning to Devops best practices
• Developing applications (coding, programming)
• Debugging and testing code
• Documenting and testing new software applications
• Researching, investigating and fixing a wide range of technical issues
• Approaching problems and creating solutions

Agile project delivery

• Successfully plan project deliverables to be delivered in sprint iterations
• Gather stakeholder requirements as part of feature design
• Participate in the SCRUM process (Sprint planning, daily stand-up, sprint retrospective)
• Learn about the tools we use, how they work and how they’re used within DEFEND

Requirements

• Software development in Python or C#
• REST API integration experience
• Experience presenting and visualising data for consumption by technical and non-technical audiences
• Self-motivated and results-oriented
• Ability to interact with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Highly developed analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
