About the Role

The Delivery Practice Lead is a leadership role within the Digital Engineering Service line reporting to the Delivery Practice Manager. The role has variety and opportunity for growth and includes the following focus areas:

People Management and Leadership

As line manager of a team of Delivery Leads, you will have responsibility for all elements of managing people, providing strong leadership and mentoring, along with hiring new team members.

Delivery Governance

You will have full visibility of the delivery status of your team members’ engagements and will coach and support them through deliveries to achieve customer satisfaction. You will be their first point of escalation and will further escalate to the Delivery Practice Manager where required.

Financial Management

You'll need sound financial skills, enabling you to coach your team members with their delivery financial reporting.


Sales focus

Everyone at Datacom is a salesperson, and we all take every opportunity to convert customer needs to sales. In this role you will need be able to identify opportunities as they arise and alert our wider Digital Engineering team so that they can address and close the sale.

This Practice Lead role will be conducted in parallel with your current billable customer engagement role.

Some of your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Your billable customer Delivery Lead role
  • Regular line management and delivery governance coaching meetings with your team members
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on your team members’ delivery reporting
  • Contributing to Delivery Governance forums
  • Internal escalation of any delivery concerns
  • Resource planning, including hiring, developing team skills and assigning work
  • Developing amp; championing new and existing services and products within your practice scope
  • Developing collateral to support these services and products
  • Collating case studies on previous projects
  • Building your practice’s internal brand within Datacom
  • Providing line management leadership, coaching and support
  • Being the first point of delivery escalation for your team members and take ownership for outcomes
  • Providing delivery governance leadership including setting best practices, standards, creating documentation and performing reviews
  • Representing your team to internal stakeholders
