Job Description

Catch is on the hunt for a Senior Digital Project Manager to join our growing team in Wellington. You'll have agency experience, be hands on, outcome-focussed, task and detail-oriented. Now this pandemic has chilled out, you'll have the option to work remote or in our beautiful central-city office, located in The Exchange building.

Founded in 2005, Catch Design is an independent creative and digital experience agency in Wellington and Auckland. We partner with some of New Zealand’s most iconic brandsincluding Mercury, TSB Bank, AA Smartfuel, VTNZ and NZ Olympic Committeeto design, build and support award-winning digital experiences, helping them establish, grow and nurture their connections with customers.

You'll work within a cross-functional team, responsible for the successful delivery of projects for multiple clients. You're the conduit between our clients' needs, their customers and our teamtransforming business requirements and objectives, customer needs, research and insights into world-leading digital products and services.

As a senior team member, this role is part project manager, part product owner and strategic thinker, part account manager and full-time team motivator and wrangler of many things, including; requirements gathering and documentation, backlog management, meeting and workshop facilitation, project admin and planning, scheduling, and communication between your team, clients and stakeholders.

We work in a collaborative environment where long-term client partnerships are valued over one-off engagements. You care passionately about turning projects into strong client relationships by being dependable and reliable. You're realistic and have the ability to balance innovative ideas, deadlines, budget and internal resourcing to ensure client outcomes are consistently met.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • You’ll be the primary contact for a selection of our clients, ensuring free-flowing communication and managing and exceeding expectations on a daily basis
  • Gaining an intimate understanding of your clients’ goals and challenges, and in partnership with our creative and technical teams, providing the very best in strategic thinking, advice and direction
  • Working with other Project Managers to ensure adequate resourcing for your projects
  • Creating and investing in strong working relationships with our amazing team of designers and developers. You’re the glue that holds things together
  • Originating, scoping work, drafting and finalising budgets, estimates, proposals, project schedules and all project related documentation

Requirements

  • Ideally, we'd like you to start soon, but we're also open to you starting in the new year once we return from holiday on Monday 9 January 2023
  • We value proven experience over qualifications
  • 4+ years of proven digital producer / project management experience, delivering small to large interactive/digital projects on time, within budget and with happy clients
  • You’re a patient calm head that exudes charm and grace, even when the desire to poke your eyeballs out is uncontrollable
  • Experience leading or working within Agile teams is beneficial
  • You’re a client management champion. You conduct yourself professionally and with a smilebecause it’s what you’re about
  • Confident speaker with proven experience in writing and presenting
  • You have a passion for all things Digital and Interactive
  • Willingness to travel, predominantly to main mets in NZ (occasionally overnight)
