About The Role

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Hotel Porter to join our fun, dynamic Hotel team either Part Time or Casual.

We are looking for enthusiastic applicants who know how to impress our guests, ensuring a warm, friendly and efficient welcome at every interaction with a hotel guest or visitor. Team players who will provide the highest levels of customer service while ensuring professionalism and efficiencies every time a guest enters the hotel.

The successful candidate will need to possess the following attributes:

This role is available either Part Time or Casual.

Heavy manual lifting will be required as part of this role.

Requirements

The primary objective of this role is to provide portering services, ensuring a warm and friendly welcome, and amaze guests with outstanding customer service. On a daily basis, the successful candidate will:

  • Assist Front Desk during busy check in and check out to ensure guests are receiving the best possible services
  • Move, record and manage all luggage
  • Follow any emergency procedures from DM when an emergency arises
  • Fix small maintenance issues in the rooms
  • Assist with guest enquiries and assistance with tour bookings, restaurant, activities and directions
  • Ensure guest messages, dry cleaning are delivered in a timely manner
  • Should have the enthusiasm to work and suggest any improvements so the department can work efficiently
  • Assist other departments in the successful operation of the business with a key focus on guest service
  • Regularly inspect the lobby and public area to ensure that the standards of the Hotel are maintained and comfortable for guests, clients as well as employees.
  • Regularly monitor stock of brochures and information for guests
  • Ensure local knowledge is up to date
  • Ensure that guest safety and security is maintained to high levels at all times.
