Mons is currently searching for a creative and driven full-time Product Developer to join our team based in Wanaka, New Zealand. Working alongside the Senior Product Developer to bring to life our global product ranges from concept stage through to delivery and processing of sales samples. Delivering high quality, innovative and sustainable products that live up to the Mons brand values.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar product development role, ideally in the outdoor apparel space
• Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
• Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word amp; PowerPoint)
• Experience working and communicating with offshore vendors
• Technical drawing skills, garment construction and production process knowledge
• Clear understanding of fabrics and trims for performance use, especially merino wool
• Experience working within a PLM system

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Senior Product Developer to ensure all seasonal tech packs are created accurately and on time
• Liaise with design team and product manager making sure new product concepts are developed in accordance with the agreed product brief
• Support design team and product manager with knowledge of costs, materials and trims
• Communicate and problem solve with vendors to create products on time and within budgets
• Negotiate costings with vendors as required
• Attend proto fittings and process comments accurately and in a timely manner
• Create and manage the seasonal overviews until handover to sales team
• Measure and assess SMS samples and work with Senior Product Developer to ensure comments are sent to vendors on time
• Ensure PLM is accurate and up to date at all times during the development process
• Create and manage seasonal master style images
• Meet key deadlines within the critical path while maintaining Mons Royale quality expectations
• Strive to develop products in the most sustainable way
