About the Role
The QA Tester is responsible for the functional quality of a developed application. It is their job to identify all application defects prior to release to the client. This requires a true commitment to quality and an attitude of ownership of the Test stage.
This role is a 6 - 12 Months Fixed Term position and can be worked from any Datacom office in NZ.
What you’ll bring
- Manual testing experience with exposure to technical testing and test automation.
- An ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders including Product Manager and BA’s
- Efficiency and high-quality outputs with low number of escaped defects
- Quick and clear understanding of new development, identifying key areas of risk for testing
- Ability to troubleshoot issues to understand whether they are config, data, or code related
- Ability to work across functional domain teams including Finance, Local Government processes and application integration
Responsibilities
- Manual testing feeding in the creation of automation tests based on Spec Flow combined with our in-house Visual Studio automation framework
- Provide input into the feature design stage, estimation, and sprint planning
- Actively monitor quality of functional testing, providing feedback to developers/dev lead/product manager throughout the development of product features
- Work with the Business Analyst and/or Client to resolve gaps or ambiguities in the functional design
- Ensure the Product manager is kept up to date, making them especially aware of any issues causing test delays
- Develop amp; execute test plans against developed features and components. Identify and report defects, work with team to resolve
- Configure, use and manage test data and environments in strict accordance with all internal and customer security standards
