About the Role

You will lead the Business Analysis Team, within the Digital Engineering Team in the South Island. As the Practice Lead, you will take ownership of all solutions and activities in your client base with a three-tier approach to daily activities, focus on our people, focus on our clients, and focus on our quality delivery. Some of the key focus areas for the role nclude:

  • This is a dynamic role, responsible for leading, and growing your Business Analyst people so they can excel in their roles.
  • Build a performance focused culture that ensures activities are conducted within agreed parameters, typically; time, cost, and scope, that outputs and benefits are clear, and that identified solutions/outcomes lead to providing real value for our client.
  • Develop a culture of team responsiveness to client needs, continually stretching our capability.
  • Foster a culture of real team connection and commitment to each other, making work a fun place to be, with plenty of learning, teamwork, and opportunities to ply their trade across a wide range of engagements.
  • Collaborating across the client and project teams to analyse and structure views that enable all the stakeholders to understand and verify the target solution and related business change activities.
  • Establishing, and continually improving the principles and practises of your people, and the people your team interacts with, being a change agent, and at the forefront in the BA domain.
  • Assisting with presales including RFx responses and estimating activities.
  • Manage effective team utilisation through proactive capacity forecasting and planning to optimise the use of capacity and capability across your team to meet client expectations, personal growth, and work/life balance.
  • Champion best practice techniques and encourage application across all Business Analyst activities.
  • Challenge the status quo and actively identify and participate in opportunities to improve the overall quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of your team activities.
  • In addition to the above, you will be personally delivering BA services for clients.

What you will bring:

  • You will have considerable experience with different BA engagements including: Product Management, Design, Business Cases, Business Strategy, Data Analysis, Systems, Gap Analysis, Business Process Mapping, Delivery Planning, and perhaps even Business Change Management.
  • You may also have experience with presales and shaping projects.
  • You enjoy being hands on where you can such to support your business analysis and consulting activities.
  • Strong financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation, and project revenue.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proven negotiating skills with the aptitude to ensure win/win situations for all parties.
  • Excellent customer relationship building and management skills
  • Effective presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Strong consultative planning skills
