About the Opportunity

A unique opportunity to support in the growth of the Datacom Digital business who are delivering transformational outcomes for New Zealand’s greatest brands. This senior-level role is focused on everything in the digital and customer experience space across New Zealand. Core to your success will be in building pipeline and business opportunity across all offerings in Datacom Digital, while aligning to the wider Datacom capabilities. As a proven digital business development manager, you will be well versed in digital experience solutions and working with vendors and partners.

You will lead market engagements to continue building on the success in driving Datacom as a market leader in the digital and martech market. You’ll provide the leadership to continue to position Datacom Digital as a leader in the market by being dedicated to putting the customer at the heart of everything they do.

What you’ll do:

Digital domain expertise

  • Market understanding be fully engaged and aware of the New Zealand market around everything Digital including competitors such as GSIs, agencies and local SIs. Understand what and how customers are buying and continue to evolve our Digital offerings to continue to grow the business and stay relevant.
  • Value proposition involvement in establishing the right services offerings to market based on partner proposition, market demands and customer needs.
  • Customer Experience Plan for changing the narrative and customer value by shifting our conversations to always start with the end customer.
    Sales
  • Utilise experience as a software sales professional to secure new customers and new revenue for Datacom’s Digital business.
  • Bid Management and preparation Lead, drive and guide the development of bid responses for the business. Research and write proposal content. Coordinate other members of a bid team to produce content, define and estimate work, and provide quality control and sign off.
  • External sales and lead generation - Promote our specific Digital offerings to existing and prospective customers to secure interest and engage with our Practice Managers or subject matter experts in each area.
  • Internal sales - Promote our offerings to the Datacom Enterprise Sales team and other customer facing personnel within Datacom, right up to the Board, so that they can identify and initiate opportunities on our behalf. Work with these internal channels to bring opportunities to successful conclusion.
  • Manage the sales pipeline effectively so that there is always work coming in and that staff are being utilised effectively.
  • Account Management Create and develop profitable, sustainable relationships with existing Datacom clients.
    Marketing
  • Marketing collateral Produce sales support materials including Word, PowerPoint and Video versions of case studies, along with white papers and brochures. Bring our offerings and other Datacom s offerings together where appropriate to create cohesive solutions for clients, rather than a collection of individual products/services.
  • Evangelism Establish a thought-leadership position with our clients, evangelising the most exciting and inspirational solutions and case studies to our clients. This should cover our Connected Experience story. Our evangelism function is focussed on showing clients how we can transform their businesses using the right technology and services from our kit bag.
  • Customer events Involved in planning and managing customer events across New Zealand
    Partnerships
  • Manage and nurture key vendor partnerships, towards establishing Datacom as the leading partner in New Zealand.
  • Co-sell work towards co-selling with all partners
  • Involved in establishing and owning account planning sessions with all partners and create a strong pipeline.
  • Build effective working relationships with agencies where services are complementary
