We are looking for an experienced Intermediate Civil Engineer to join the team in Auckland.

The Role:
The Intermediate Civil Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Manage and carry out civil investigations, co-ordination, design and construction monitoring for civil engineering projects and the civil components of multi-disciplined projects
- Ensure the civil engineering deliverables are of appropriate quality and are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Liaise closely and co-ordinate civil engineering deliverables with other disciplines
- Manage the financial aspects of projects including fee proposals, budget reviews and invoicing on a monthly basis
- Client liaison
- Supervise and mentor graduate engineers and technicians within civil engineering team
- Identify, agree and undertake training as required to maintain skills and knowledge
- Ensure all administration tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Meet all health and safety requirements
- Undertake activities in accordance with the Company’s Knowledge Base
- Undertake all activities in accordance with the Company’s core values of respect, professionalism, teamwork, innovation and sustainability
Requirements
Qualification, Skills amp; Personal Attributes Required:
- A degree based professional qualification in civil engineering
- 4 years minimum post graduate experience in civil engineering on residential, commercials and/or industrial projects in New Zealand.
- A working knowledge of the New Zealand Building act and all relevant civil design codes and practices.
- Technically capable
- Good communication skills verbally and writing.
- An ability to prioritize, manage workflows and work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to work within and/or lead a team
- Chartered or in (near) application stage for Chartership with Engineering NZ or equivalent.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive can-do attitude and be able to show examples of the successful delivery of their work
