Job Description
Our client provides accounting services to small to medium sized businesses across the country. Things are changing (in a good way!) and growth is on the up, so they need a capable and eager person to take on the challenge of Operations Manager Accounting.
Stepping into this role you’ll have a couple of areas to sink your teeth into the people (recruitment, resourcing, culture, training and development) and the operational day to day (systems, internal accounting, processes, and strategy). Working closely with the leadership team you’ll help drive efficiencies, so performance and delivery is high and aligns with the overall business values and vision.
Being a qualified accountant isn’t required for this role, although you will need working knowledge of accounting as that’s the bread and butter. Your background will be from a professional services environment (ideally accounting) where you’ve dealt with people and operational management.
You’ll be someone who naturally connects and builds trust that enables you to influence and make change. Taking ownership and having pride in what you do is key, as well as being ready to jump right in and get things done. You’ll also be someone to not shy away from a challenge and take any head on.
