Senior Full-Stack Developer

Gladeye is looking for an experienced Senior Developer with strong values and an extraordinary technical skill set.

You’ll be an essential part of a multidisciplinary team of digital product and experience designers making beautiful, original work. As a Senior Developer, you’ll help define the technical vision for products and projects, and work collaboratively towards real-world execution and impact.

We’re a team based in Auckland, working with clients throughout the world. We're open to remote candidates for this role, and a range of work experiences and world views.

What You’ll Do

• Solve complex problems with elegant code solutions.
• Shepherd projects from planning phases to well-crafted, easily maintained deployments that brilliantly meet requirements.
• Create rapid concept prototypes, utilising established and new technologies.
• Work closely with project teams and designers, contributing creative technical solutions and clearly communicating what’s possible.
• Contribute and maintain best practices for development.
• Mentor junior team members and represent Gladeye in industry forums.

Requirements

• 5+ years of front and back-end experience with websites or digital products.
• Fluency in HTML/CSS/JavaScript, with and without frameworks.
• Experience in a front-end framework such as React or Vue.
• Experience in PHP, Git, and a containerisation system such as Docker.
• The ability to integrate with third-party platforms, APIs and dynamic content.
• Communication skills to clearly describe technical ideas.
• The ability to learn quickly and the passion to keep up with constantly changing technologies.
• A strong understanding of responsive interfaces, contexts, screens and devices.
• A desire to do work that makes the world better.
• An optimistic, inclusive attitude that makes everyone feel safe, calm and creative.
