About The Role | Te Mahi

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist - Pou Arahi o Kimi Kaimahi, to join our South Island Talent and Culture team to manage and coordinate effective and efficient recruitment for staff in our hotels across the South Island. Supporting operational managers and Tamp;C Advisors you will help to ensure a fantastic employee experience through sourcing, attracting and onboarding candidates through the recruitment process. We are looking for an experienced recruiter who is passionate about people and hospitality whilst being highly pro-active, organised and service orientated. We have one passion - You. This role will report to the Regional Talent amp; Culture Manager - South Island and you will be part of the growing Talent and Culture team in Christchurch.

Responsibilities | Nga haepapa

  • Deliver exceptional employee through the customer touchpoints of the recruitment process
  • Ensure a fast, timely, effective and efficient recruitment process using our online recruitment system; Workable
  • Liaise with relevant Department Managers and Talent and Culture Advisors to understand business recruitment needs
  • Maintain and coordinate recruitment advertising, promoting our employer branding and being an Employer of Choice 2022
  • Identify and screen candidates based on hotel requirements
  • Complete recruitment from sourcing through to offer, in a timely manner ensuring attention to detail at all times
  • Assist with ensuring all pre-employment documentation and onboarding processes are completed for new employees
  • Provide a high level of professionalism and competence when attracting and acquiring new employees
  • Support career fairs, liaise with hospitality tertiary institutes raising brand awareness amp; attracting new talent and industry placements
  • Encourage and sustain our culture of diversity, inclusion and sustainability at all times
  • Liaise with Ministry of Social Development and Immigration for recruitment initiatives

About you | Ko koe tenei

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, pro-active, people person
  • Minimum 2 years recruitment experience; coordinating a busy recruitment service, including sourcing, advertising, shortlisting, phone screening, interviewing, reference checks, through to preparing relevant offer documentation and gathering onboarding documentation
  • High volume recruitment administrative experience, ideally in the service, hospitality industry or recruitment agency
  • Ability to communicate and organise recruitment stages promptly across multiple roles in hotels
  • Knowledge and understanding of NZ employment legislation, in particular related to recruitment practices
  • Experience with HRIS and cloud recruitment software beneficial
  • Ability to collect, manage and secure information in line with Privacy Act 2020
  • Highly organised, able to work under pressure to meet deadlines with attention to detail
