The role:
As an Architect you’ll be working directly with clients to design the best solutions using a wide range of software focused integration technologies You’ll lead the lifecycle of the project from discovery stage through to implementation, and will be a key contributor to pre-sales activities and bid responses. You will assess options for best fit, lead workshops and write technical documentation to ensure all parties are clear on the technology roadmap.
As a senior team member, you'll be part of an exciting team and have the opportunity to mentor to staff, investigate new technologies and support the overall strategic direction and development of the unit.
What you’ll bring:
You’re an experienced Solution or Integration Architect with solid experience in software development and the delivery of large-scale software projects to customers. Whilst you are able to get into the detail of the solution when required, you’re focussed on designing the right solution to solve our customers problems. You're at home mentoring technical teams and working with clients to truly help them understand what we can deliver.
You’ll be able to wear multiple hats; leading presales conversations one minute, then rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in the details to bring your solutions to life the next. Most importantly you’ll have the confidence to voice your opinions, and take ownership of issues and outcomes, whilst also respecting the ideas of your peers.
Technical Skills
- Solid background in software and development practices
- Clear and concise communicator. Able to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Open minded and practical we focus on using the latest technology to solve real business and technical problems
- DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git CI/CD
- Experienced with the use of APIs, and/or web services, and their security
The following is highly desirable, although not necessarily essential:
- Experience in Integration is definite bonus, ideally with hands on experience with API Management or Integration platforms such as Mulesoft, Azure API Management, WSO2, Kong etc.
- Event streaming technologies e.g. Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, Solace
- Cloud technologies and experience with AWS, Azure
- Containers or Container Platforms e.g. Docker, OpenShift, AKS
