This is a hands-on role to contribute to our cloud software stack within a collaborative startup environment working on a leading IoT SaaS platform. Your mission is to help our worldwide aviation customers ensure the safety of their aircraft, crew and passengers; in doing so you will help save lives. This is a senior/intermediate Full-Stack Engineer role reporting into a New Zealand based technical lead.
Responsibilities
- Development - Hands-on software development, engineering and deployment
- Technology - Collaborate with your team to help define the architecture and technical designs for our cloud platform and API solutions.
- Product operations - Ensure technology solutions are operationally ready and supportable in the long-term.
- Practices - Continually seek to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our engineering practices
- Projects - Participate in projects to deliver new functionality and maintain existing systems.
Requirements
- Proven ability to participate in the implementation of cloud solutions, ideally with high reliability requirements.
- Proficiency in NodeJS and React, also Java experience is a plus.
- Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, DynamoDB and RDS.
- Passion for rich, reliable, maintainable, extensible APIs which expose real value to consumers.
- Ability to take ownership of existing systems and incrementally improve a code base.
- Desirable experience in building a DevOps culture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure customer focus with an end-to-end perspective on all solutions.]
