We are looking for a talented and experienced General Manager - Expression of interest.
This role is responsible for Operations, Technical (Quality and Safety), Maintenance, Supply Chain and Product and Process Improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to lead Operations with a goal of ensuring optimal performance, profitability and capacity utilisation while developing the team in continuous improvement and best practice principles to guide us to operational excellence.
You will also be acting as a trusted business partner to the CEO and your peers on the senior leadership team.
Requirements
About you:
To be considered for this role, you must be highly personable, naturally self-confident and have a strong drive to achieve and improve on things operationally. You will also need to have a level head, and be able to manage pressure and solve problems in a highly responsive and pragmatic way. Sound and consistent decision making will also be important. In addition to these attributes, you must have a very strong customer focus, and constantly strive to ensure that the business delivers on expectations.
You must have proven manufacturing operational management experience, ideally food related, at a senior level. It is essential that you are an inspirational team leader who can grow your team’s skills and performance, and you must also have well developed communication skills. Strong planning and organising capabilities will also be essential, as is a relevant tertiary qualification.
You will be analytical, with strong business and financial acumen.
Your ability to thrive in a changing environment, engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders will be essential to the success of your team and ensure the company’s growth plans are taken to fruition.
