Onyou is an ethical fashion search platform bringing together thousands of ethically made fashion products from multiple retailers. Users can search, browse and filter through thousands of products to find something that fits their style, price range and values.
We function as a startup, meaning we work closely and collaboratively to align on a unified product vision, living and breathing user-centred processes to create the best possible experience for our users and hardworking brand partners.
Armed with a prototype, over 2,000 sign-ups, revenue, brand partners, and support from leaders and mentors, we’re ready to scale from the solid foundation we've built and launch at the end of November 2021.
In order to achieve this, your responsibilities will be:
- The greenfield design and build of a new web platform, where you have the opportunity to build the solution using a modern technical stack of your choosing.
- Communicate clearly any risks, technical debt, and progress of work so we’re always making informed decisions.
- Working alongside the founder to define, prioritise and build out the product roadmap.
- Have regular, direct contact with our customers (users and brand partners) to understand their needs.
Requirements
- Make architecture decisions to ensure a strong, stable, and scalable product.
- Ownership of the technical roadmap and execution.
- Designing the layout and structure of the codebase.
- Writing code that is clean, highly maintainable and well-tested.
- Manage and implement integrations with 3rd-party technology platforms/APIs.
- Happy and eager to conduct technological analyses and research.
- Well organised and good at giving team visibility on progress.
- Explain complicated topics in an easy-to-understand way.
- Experience building Shopify apps, storefronts or sales channel apps.
- ECommerce / marketplace experience.
