We are looking for a leader to join our Product Development team. This is a crucial role within our business that will be key to driving many of the new product innovations that are central to our organisation's strategy. To be a good fit for this role you will need to demonstrate a strong passion and curiosity for technology as well as motivated to make our engineers wildly successful in their careers while elevating the importance of quality within the organisation. As someone who has come from a technical background, you will also demonstrate an authentic drive to help people, in this true "people and technology blended" role.
This role is part of the product leadership group, working alongside our Applications, Data and IoT leads, reporting to our CTO, who is committed to your success and career growth.
So, what will you be doing?
You will be leading our quality strategy and coaching efforts across all of our product development activities. "QA" is everyone's responsibility on our teams, but you will be responsible for the line management of engineers that practice QA as a specialisation.

- Lead the quality theme of our cloud-based aviation safety platform, using AWS cloud and services.
- Design highly available and scalable systems in collaboration with our tech leaders and CTO
- 3rd Party collaboration with integration partners to enrich our product offerings
- Automation to remove menial activities from your day (test, build, deploy).

Requirements
The successful applicant can demonstrate:
- Deep understanding of a number of quality assurance approaches
- An ability to coach engineers to elevate the importance of quality and associated practices
- Ideally technical leadership experience of 3 years+ in a senior engineering role
- Extensive experience in cloud platforms
- Extensive experience in modern engineering project delivery methods
- Positive people leadership and line management
