About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our People amp; Culture team based in Ellerslie.

Working closely with the Pamp;C Director this role will be responsible for a range of activities across the employee lifecycle.

  • Provide generalist the business with advice and guidance on all generalist HR activities
  • Advise and support line manager through informal and formal employment relations and performance processes.
  • Follow HR best practice and policy when dealing with employees ensuring the business is mitigated from risk but also ensuring the employee is treated with dignity and respect through these processes.
  • Support the development amp; implementation of HR policy and process
  • Educate managers on company HR policy and process that support the appropriate management of employees
  • Keep up to date with current trends and legislation changes and make recommendations to the People amp; Culture Director ANZ on improvements to HR policy and implement accordingly to improve employment practices across all businesses
  • Ensure all HR systems are maintained to an auditable standard through the accurate and timely data entry of information.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Fleetcor’s HR systems supporting all areas of the business with the use of these systems
  • Assist the People amp; Culture Director Australasia with the administration of the remuneration amp; benefits program through HR systems
  • Complete all HR documentation on these changes
  • Facilitate all HR administration including contracts, variations, employment support letters etc.
  • Updating Workday with all employee information to an auditable standard as a result of these changes
  • Provide Employee reporting and analytics to the regional and global business
  • Support the People amp; Culture Director Australasia with any HR administration as required
  • Support the People amp; Culture Director Australasia with specialist HR projects that deliver on the HR functional plan and company strategic plan
  • Support the delivery of local, regional and global projects and initiatives
  • Own the people amp; culture remit developing strategies and activating specialist areas of BeWell, Social, Diversity amp; Inclusion, and Corporate Social Responsibility etc.
  • Develop communication plans for each to ensure participation within the business


Coming through the end of a growth period we are now looking in to imbed HR best practice within the business as well as developing our employee engagement and wellbeing programs.

Well supported by a global business but running our own regional ship, our Pamp;C team includes training and talent acquisition.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience working in an operational HR generalist for a minimum 3 years
  • Broad knowledge and experience in New Zealand employment law, employee relations, compensation, health amp; safety and wellbeing.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels both within and outside the organisation with the ability to successfully influence at all levels
  • Flexibility and able to adapt readily to changing requirements and circumstances
  • Understanding of Health amp; Safety and its impact on the employee/employer relationship
  • A passion for creating a safe and health work place for all whilst balancing governance needs
  • Experience maintaining HRIS programs (Workday amp; Workable)
