An exciting opportunity awaits a Spa Supervisor to open our brand new Moss Spa in the Sudima Queenstown Five Mile complex.
Moss Spa is the latest luxurious experience for our in house guests and clients.
We are looking for a passionate and customer focused Spa Supervisor willing to exceed guest’s expectations with memorable spa treatments and service.
This role is a full time salaried position which includes supervising the spa therapists as well as conducting some therapist treatments.
Responsibilities
- Delivers a variety of spa services (body treatments, massages, facials, waxing and manicure/pedicure) in a safe and comfortable manner
- Ensures a high level of service is provided to all guests/clients
- Recruitment, training, rostering and leadership of the spa team
- Analyses monthly Pamp;L and proactively manages costs including monthly stocktakes
- Provides input into sales, marketing and promotions in conjunction with the Moss Spa Manager in Christchurch and centralised sales and marketing team
- Works with the hotel manager to develop and maintain spa treatment list, proactively keeping up with market trends, products and best practice
- Ensures equipment is well maintained and reports any issues immediately
- Is proactive in building and maintaining client and guest relationship management
- Ensures therapists uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations
- Attend industry events such as conferences, expos, shows around New Zealand when required
Requirements
- Qualified CIBTAC or ITEC equivalent
- 5 years work experience as a Spa therapist including massage, manicures, pedicures, waxing and face/body therapies
- Minimum one year experience supervising a team (ideally in a spa/beauty clinic environment)
- Exceptional grooming and hygiene
- Passionate about Spa and Luxury Treatments
- Experience building and managing client/guest relationships
- Excellent knowledge of English language
- Strong communicator with exceptional client/guest service skills
- Positive attitude
- Willing to travel to attend updates/conferences/training in other locations within NZ
- Excellent computer skills and competent with spa booking.systems
