About The Role

Our busy credit team has an opportunity for an experienced Credit Assessment Specialist to join us full-time till the end of September (with potential to go permanent).


You will undertake processing and assessing credit applications, providing recommendations and decisions, in addition to credit reporting working within prescribed service level agreements and credit policy requirements.


Your role in a nutshell includes:

  • Accurate and timely processing and decisioning of credit applications
  • Assessing for potential and existing customers
  • Merchant application processing
  • Payments, adjustments and reversal raised as required
  • Accounts (Merchant and Customer) and cards configured and created within service level agreements
  • All Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reports extracted, compiled and disseminated within prescribed SLA’s
  • All SLA Data compiled accurately and prepared in a timely manner for Month end Meeting requirements
  • All Ad Hoc reporting requests actioned within prescribed timeframes
  • Always Audit ready
  • Manages and resolves escalations
  • Presents KPI and Month End results to Stakeholders
  • Support the wider Credit team as required


About You

You’re enthusiastic, efficient, solutions focused, think ahead of the curve and ready to jump in and make a difference.

To be considered for this role you will bring with you:

  • NCEA or Equivalent Qualification including Maths
  • Computer literate / proficient in MS Office Suite and intermediate level Excel Skills
  • At least 3 years Credit Assessment and/or Contact Centre and/or Data processing experience
  • Intermediate level financial reporting experience
  • Experience navigating multiple systems while interacting with customers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure. solve problems and follow processes
  • Proven track record of superior customer service
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate level financial reporting
  • Strong work ethic, high integrity and team oriented nature
  • Credit Background preferred
