The Team Lead plays a key part in our software development process. In this role you will be helping your team to deliver the best outcomes for our Customers and Business using a variety of technologies and platforms.
At XE, our Team Leads split their time 50/50 between Team Leadership and their chosen specialisation.
In the Team Lead role, in addition to your specialist skills, you will:
- Identify, remove, delegate or escalate impediments that will prevent the team from achieving their Sprint and/or release goals.?
- Ensure that the team is represented at the Scrum of Scrums meetings and other meetings that are required as part of our day-to-day operation
- Facilitate the Technical and non-technical elaboration of Product Backlog Items that the team is responsible for
- Work as part of the office Leadership team and have input into the planning and execution of our strategic direction.
- Be a positive enabler of change
Specialist Skills Responsibilities:
- Contribute directly to the outcomes the teams deliver in each sprint.
- Contribute to team meetings including daily stand-ups and retrospectives
- Provide mentoring and/or coaching to others
- Take part in peer reviews
- Collaborate with our Product and business teams to ensure we deliver the right thing the right way
- Write automated unit/integration tests
- Contribute to system documentation
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the following skills/experience are required:
