We’re Melodics, and our product is shaping how the world learns and enjoys musical instruments. We want to enrich our world with more music and make it accessible for everyone. And we need you! Melodics is currently a team of 16 and growing quickly. To join us, you’ll need to be comfortable with the constantly evolving, multiple-hat-wearing environment of a rapid growth start up.
We are a user experience driven company that places the customer at the heart of our decisions. Our team is made up of a diverse bunch who come from a range of backgrounds, ready to challenge the status quo thinking. Our user base sits around 300k and we’re growing fast!
Requirements
Your profile:
- You’re a data hound! You enjoy digging through different data types from diverse sources and sniffing out latent patterns.
- Experience in the world of music creation and/or music learning
- You have the ability to communicate and empathise with a variety of different user types, from experts to beginners.
- You’ve got experience working with qualitative data and conducting thematic analysis.
- You’re organized and methodical in your approach to data management.
- You’re comfortable gathering, collating, organizing, and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data.
- You are familiar with a diverse set of evaluative and explorative user research methodologies, and the knowledge of when and how to apply them.
- You have the ability to plan research projects, conduct tests and analyse results in collaboration with teams.
Bonus points for:
- You’ve previously worked in B2C SaaS context or similar digital platform
- You have experience in the fields of UX and/or user empathy
Benefits
The position is a part-time (12 hours per week), contract role for an initial period of 3 months. We're based in Auckland, New Zealand. While we have a lot of flexibility when it comes to WFH, we are looking for someone to be based from our office on Karangahape Rd for part of the working week.
