About the Role
This is a 12 month maternity cover role. It is a varied role for an accountant who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get the work done in a busy finance team. Based in Wanaka, the accountant role helps to support our global business (with offices in NZ, Austria and Canada) with excellent financial information to support decision-making, and timely processing of transactions.

This is a full time role with some flexibility around working days.
Requirements
Your skills:
- Proficient in the reporting and analysis of financials and KPIs
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to get IT tools to work for you - either by yourself or through your ability to manage external providers
- High attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
- Ability to adjust to change
- The desire to positively contribute to a high-functioning team, but also very able to self-manage and work autonomously
You will be responsible for:
- Preparation of monthly Pamp;Ls and project reports, including commentary
- Proactively building relationships, partnering with parts of the business to help inform decision-makers to positively influence financial outcomes
- Accounts Payable and Receivable supervision
- Bank reconciliations (multiple currencies)
- Month-end reconciliations
- Preparation of bank payment runs and contribute to cashflow forecasting
You should have:
- Finance/Accounting tertiary qualification, CA/CPA preferred but not essential
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and reporting software
- Advanced Excel skills
- Positive, professional attitude
