Job Description

Our purpose

Here at Datacom we connect people and technology in order to solve challenges, create opportunities and discover new possibilities for the communities we live in.

Our Team

You’ll join our Integration team: We build, maintain and operate solutions focussed on helping our customers modernise their applications by removing platform issues and opening up access to valuable business data. The technical domains we operate in are APIs/integration, containerisation, DevOps and public cloud.

Our culture is one built on people who love coming to work to solve problems, and we embrace those who lean into a problem rather than lean away. We’ve lots of exciting projects for you to get stuck right into!

The role:

As an Architect you’ll be involved in pre-sales and RFPs, working directly with clients to design the best solutions using a wide range of technologies. You’ll lead the lifecycle of the project from discovery stage through to implementation, leading workshops and writing technical documentation to ensure all parties are clear on the technology roadmap.

As a senior team member, you'll be expected to investigate new technologies and support the overall strategic direction and development of the unit.

What you’ll bring:

You’re an experienced Solution Architect with solid experience in a large-scale application environment. Whilst you are able to get into the detail of the solution when required, you’re focussed on designing the right solution to solve our customers problems. You're at home mentoring technical teams and working with clients to truly help them understand what we can deliver.

You’ll be able to wear multiple hats; leading presales conversations one minute, then rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in the details to bring your solutions to life the next. Most importantly you’ll have the confidence to voice your opinions, and take ownership of issues and outcomes, whilst also respecting the ideas of your peers.
