Montoux is a SaaS startup and the leading decision science platform specifically designed for life and health insurers. Our software enables our customers to harness the power of AI to operationalize data-driven decision making, to get radically improved insights into their products, pricing and market dynamics.

Our team is spread across Wellington, the US and the UK and we’re in growth mode. Our customers are global and we’re always trying to build and sell new product propositions at greater and greater speeds.

About the role

We’re on the lookout for a passionate HR and recruitment specialist to join our team on a 12 month fixed-term contract while our People and Recruitment Manager is on maternity (from June). This role reports into the CEO and works closely with the Operations team, we’re a lean team and this is a stand-alone, global role that would suit someone who enjoys being a generalist and is comfortable context switching from low to high-level tasks. This role could be part-time for the right person. Specifically, this role will;

  • Cover everything from employer brand, attraction and selection, onboarding, training and development, performance management, leadership training, global policy and compliance management, new office setup and board reporting.
  • Work with the leadership team to identify and lead key people and culture initiatives to feed into our People strategy
  • Support company growth through recruiting for a range of global roles across Sales/Marketing, Customer Success, Engineering, Product and Data Science will be a large part of this role
  • Be a part of our culture club and be a key contributor to building a high performing culture and keeping our employee engagement high
  • Manage and deliver leadership training to build our next generation of leaders
  • Prepare informative monthly reporting packs on our people and culture for our leadership team and Board of Directors
  • Take accountability of managing our monthly townhalls (All of company meetings)
  • Lead our internal employee satisfaction programme to ensure our people are engaged and empowered and when issues arise, support in developing the solution.
  • Pitch in with wider operations team tasks - we have a one-team approach here and always try to help each other out.

Requirements

  • Experience working in an internal HR role, the more generalist in nature the better
  • Proven experience delivering a range of people initiatives that drive company success
  • Experience with leadership training and development, and a passion for driving a high-performing culture
  • Ability to recruit across a diverse range of roles - both through direct sourcing as well as working with agencies
  • Prior experience working in a startup or high growth environment would be ideal
  • Ability to getting stuck into the detail as well as do the big picture thinking
  • A passion for great employee experience
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • To be eligible for this job you will need to hold an existing New Zealand working visa, or be a New Zealand resident or citizen. Due to the visa suspensions currently in place by Immigration NZ we are unable to consider candidates who are not eligible to work in New Zealand
